The Perkuno Namai Park Hotel, which name means the House of Thunder God, is the first privately operated hotel owned by one family in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The hotel a great place to stay for those who travel to or from Western Europe. It was opened in 1994 and situated in a tranquil and prestigious neighborhood bordering the oldest oak forest in Europe.
The hotel offers accommodation in 29 modern rooms - 2 Grand Suites, 6 Standard Suites, 10 doubles and 11 singles. All the rooms are designed according to the highest Western European hotel standards. The hotel meets all the requirements of the four star hotel classifications under the new Lithuanian hotel rating system.
For holding various business events, conferences, presentations and quiet dinners or banquets the hotel provides a fully equipped conference hall, capable of seating up to fifty people and a library room, which can fit up to twenty four people.
The restaurant, capable of seating forty people, is open from 7 a.m. until midnight. For lunch and dinner the hotel offers an "a la carte" menu of international and Lithuanian cuisine. The Perkuno Namai's chefs were awarded the Grand Prix in the 2-nd Lithuanian Championship of Chefs, Bartenders and Waiters which was held in Vilnius in 1998. The restaurant was recognized as the best restaurant of Lithuania in 1999 and 2001. The chef was awarded silver and bronze medals in the International Kremlin Culinary Cup in 2005.
